Beth Linscheid Duff Memorial Scholarship
In 2011 the Beth Linscheid Duff Memorial Scholarship was created. This scholarship fund will award scholarships to a graduates of Port Huron High School and Port Huron Northern High School.
Beth Linscheid Duff grew up in Port Huron before moving on to the University of Michigan and eventually earning four master degrees. Among many things, Beth valued education, along with public service and conservation. Beth passed away on St. Patrick’s Day 2010 after a 10-year battle with cancer. She left a strong legacy not only at her job but also to her family, her community and the world. Learn more about the life and accomplishments of Beth.
To be eligible for the Beth Lindscheid Duff Memorial Scholarship, students must:
- Be a graduate of Port Huron High or Port Huron Northern High School
- Have an interest in, and ability to, solve problems that will ultimately improve this community, country or world
- Have a minimum of a 3.0GPA with enrollment in college preparatory and advanced placement classes
- Demonstrate having a social conscience
Applications will be available January 2013.
