Welcome Our New Volunteer - Lauren Taylor

Posted on May 3, 2010

You may notice a new face when you visit the Community Foundation.  Lauren Taylor will be volunteering in our office on Mondays and Fridays.  Lauren isimage an honors student at the University of Michigan-Flint.  She has a double major in Political Science and Anthropology with a minor in Hispanic Language.  Lauren, who is originally from Kenockee, became interested in the Community Foundation while researching non profit organizations in Northern Ireland as part of her Honors Thesis.  She decided to research what similar organizations she could find in her own community and eventually ended up here at the Community Foundation of St. Clair County.  We are pleased to have such a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer and know that Lauren will be a great asset to our Foundation.  We are also working hard to make sure that Lauren learns as much as she can about her community and her Community Foundation while she is with us.  Stop by or call and say hello to Lauren!
