Service Without Remembrance is Meaningless

The 2011 Port Huron Memorial Day Parade was enhanced by the addition of five new service flags and equipment supplied by a grant from the Community Foundation of St. Clair County.

David Belair, member of VFW Post 796 commemorated the event with a wonderful photo, and a thank you letter with a very important message.  “The Port Huron Memorial Day Parade Committee wants to thank the Community Foundation for your contribution in making the parade a great success while helping to teach and remind our citizens what the cost is for securing and keeping our freedoms.”
