167 grants worth over $2 million granted so far in 2018!

Over $2 million has been granted out to local organizations and individuals through a total of 167 grants to help support arts and culture, community and economic prosperity, cradle to career programming, healthy lifestyles, nonprofit capacity building and support, and youth.

Here are a few of the highlights:

Y.A.C. and the College Access fund granted a total of $8,402 to Capac HS, Memphis HS and S.O.N.S. Outreach for college tours.

S.O.N.S Outreach- College Tours

The 2018 College tour was on April 3rd thru April 5th. S.O.N.S. Outreach visited CMU, MSU, U of M, Northwood and Concordia, as well as checked out the Capital in Lansing.


The Blue Water Arts Council granted a total of $8,383 to Marine City Middle School and East Shore Leadership Academy for guitars and rock band instruments. 

The Grants committee granted $21,771 to the Algonac Clay Historical Society for the roof repair to the Maritime Museum.
